Blazing Saddles farm is set on the site of the first Tablelands Dairy, just outside Kuranda and only a 35 minute drive from Cairns. You can choose either a half-day Horse Rid through rainforest and bushland or a half-day ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) ride through the outback, or create you rown full day tour and do both!

With over 1,200 acres, there is plenty of space to allow for the Horse Ride and ATV trip to have their own dedicated area within our pristine farm. There is certainly enough space to get your speed up adn get dirty, only if you want to of course.

Blazing Saddles is a working cattle station. This amazing property offers you the opportunity to explore native Australia bushland, giant termite mounds, creeks and the savannah plains of the True Outback.

Blazing Saddles is located just outside Kuranda, 35 minutes west of Cairns, Blazing Saddles specialises in half-day rainforest adventure tours, either Horse Riding or an ATV (quad bike) ride. You can also take a combination tour of both rides in one day!

With a stable of over 70 quiet and gentle horses, Blazing Saddles offers a safe and relaxing way to see the rainforest. With horses to suit all levels and ages this is a perfect family adventure. We use the highest standard of equipment. Our horses have a friendly mature nature and will be matched to each rides experience and ability.

Your Day

Depart Cairns in our air-conditioned coaches and travel to Kuranda to be met by our friendly staff and some light refreshments in our old rustic dairy shed. 

Helmets on for horse safety brief and then on to meet your horse. 

After a training session it's time to head out into the Australian outback to explore our property. 

Experience a leisurely ride through rainforest and native bushland of the Outback. 

We cater to all levels of experience so if you are up for a canter and subject to your guides discretion, Giddy Up!!!!

After exploring our 1,200 acre cattle property we head back to base, passing huge termite mounds, grass trees and a plethora of Native Australia flora & fauna.

Our ATV's (all terrain vehicles) are easy to ride and provide the perfect transportation through the rainforest. Blazing Saddles has a large fleet of quad bikes, 50cc ATVs plus a selection of 90cc ATVs for the children (minimum age 12 years). No license or previous experience is necessary. This tour is excitement plus and allows you to experience nature close up at your own pace. We cater for all levels of experience and our half day tours are divided into individual groups to cater for both the beginners and more experienced rider! Anyone Can Do It!!
