Shantara Resort & Spa Port Douglas opened in September 2007. Shantara is a small and personalised boutique apartment resort with a day spa for that added treat for your holiday.
The tropical-styled three storey building features timeless classical architecture comprising of hotel rooms and luxury one and two bedroom self-contained apartments.

Studio Rooms
Ideal for the short stay, our studio rooms are well appointed with a queen bed, kitchenette with tea/coffee facilities, bar fridge and microwave oven. The bathroom is modern and spacious with a full shower, and a comfortable balcony to relax on after a day of sightseeing. The hotel pool deck rooms provide that extra area outdoors with access to pool directly from your balcony.
One Bedroom Apartments
Open-plan living, dining and kitchen areas with all the modern conveniences. The bedroom is separated from the living area by sliding Japanese screens, and the bathroom has a spa bath tub and a separate shower recess. Glass sliding doors open to the large and comfortably funished balcony. The one-bedroom apartments with pool decks provide a great opportunity to slip straight into the pool from your balcony at any time during those balmy tropical nights.
Shantara Apartments
Only 4 of our special Shantara Apartments are available so why not spoil yourself and have the best of both worlds. The balcony area opens onto a pool deck giving you direct access to the pool, while in your own private courtyard is a large jacuzzi to relax in after that long day out. Internally these apartments have all the facilities and features of the 1 bedroom apartment.
