Port Douglas features many holiday apartments that are pefect for longer stays. Like a home away from home with fully equipped laundry and kitchen facilities and seperate bedrooms, lounge and kitchen areas and a balcony. Most holiday apartments are located within a boutique complex and always have a swimming pool as well as other facilities.
Some world-class resorts such as the Sheraton Mirage, Sea Temple Resort & Spa and also Peppers Beach Club have fully equipped holiday apartments or villas within a resort facility where you can relax and enjoy having all facilities and services on hand. Typical resort facilities include a tennis court, gym, resort shop, day spa, restaurants, pool bar, room service, 24hr reception, concierge and porter service.
During our low season from November thru to April over the hot summer time you will find lower rates and excellent specials. During our high season and especially over school holidays it is very important to pre-book as many Australian people love to visit the tropics to thaw out over the winter months. Port Douglas apartments also sometimes offer stays of 7 nights or more a lower rate during both high and low season.

The reception at apartment properties is usually open between 8am and 6pm and the managers live on site. For arrivals after this time there is late arrival procedure.
Disabled Access:
Due to the Environmental impact in Port Douglas all apartment properties are built below the tree line. Most apartments built in the past 20 years are walk up. Basically they are within buildings consisting of the ground level, first and second levels and only have a stair case. Some 5 star rated apartments do have lifts. Larger properties generally have disabled apartments to cater to people with a mobility problem.
